Profile
Escherndorf liegt inmitten des fränkischen Weinlandes an der Volkacher Mainschleife und trägt zu Recht den Beinamen "Perle Frankens". Alljährlich im Spätsommer und Herbst finden in dem schmucken Winzerort mehrere traditionelle Weinfeste statt. Der 15.000 Quadratmeter große Campingplatz befindet sich direkt … am Ufer des Mains. Von April bis Oktober stehen Urlaubern hier 100 Parzellen zu je 65 Quadratmetern zur Verfügung. Der Platz, der sich seit 1956 in Familienhand befindet, ist sehr ruhig gelegen. In dem zum Teil behindertengerecht ausgestatteten Sanitärgebäude sind auch ein Babybad sowie eine Waschmaschine und ein Wäschetrockner untergebracht. Außerdem kann auf dem gesamten Gelände WLAN genutzt werden. Wer nicht selbst zum Kochlöffel greifen möchte, besucht die platzeigene Gaststätte mit Sonnenterrasse. Aktivurlauber finden in einem Umkreis von etwa fünf Kilometern ein Frei- beziehungsweise Hallenbad sowie einen Tennisplatz vor. Eine Tischtennisplatte ist dagegen vor Ort vorhanden. Wohnmobil-Reisende, die in Escherndorf lediglich übernachten und dort eine Entsorgungsmöglichkeit nutzen möchten, können etwas außerhalb des Campingplatzes einen gesonderten Stellplatz anfahren.
