Camping Aquarius in Sant Pere Pescador borders directly on a fabulous, sandy beach that stretches out as far as one can see, completely surrounded by a nature reserve. The fine-grained sand dunes and the crystal-clear sea water guarantee a perfect summer for all ages. Whether you want to swim in the sea or bathe in the sun, build sand castles or practice a water sport, it is all possible here, even during the high season.
The colorful flora and well maintained facilities will provide you an enjoyable holiday, whether you are alone or with the whole family: green pitches, partly covered with the shade of palms and trees, outstanding sanitary installations, high standard restaurants with a menu varying from Spanish specialties, meat and fish dishes to different kinds of tapas and snacks, which can also be taken away, a supermarket with a broad supply of regional, national and international products, playgrounds for the kids and a professional surf school.
The broad entertainment program offers activities for all tastes and ages. The toddlers can play and be creative in the Play-Center or dance along with the Mini Disco, while the youngsters participate with darts, soccer or billiard. The program varies from handicrafts, sport and play to the performance of musicals and theater plays by children; amusement for the whole family. Even for sports fanatics there is much to do: windsurfing, kite surfing, catamaran sailing, hiking and mountain biking to only mention a few possibilities. Of course, you can also participate with the weekly sports program with activities like jogging, fitness and (step) aerobics.
The region around the camp site is immensely diverse with a long history and tradition, which invites every enthusiast of culture, nature and gastronomy to explore the vicinity. You can visit the Greek-Roman ruins on the plains of Empordà, get lost within the walls of some medieval village or follow the footsteps of the pilgrims and pirates that once lived around the steep rock formations of Cap de Creus, a landscape you will recognize in the paintings of the genius Salvador Dalí.
The province of Girona is well known for its superb gastronomy. With the countless restaurants everywhere it is difficult “not to eat well”… especially if you drink one of the many good wines from the region. Camping Aquarius is a true paradise on the Costa Brava.
