This value serves as an aid to assess the reliability of campsite visitors and their ratings. It is calculated from several different components. The value for the reliability always lies between 0.0 and max. 5.0.
With this value to represent the reliability, Camping.Info wishes to impede misuse. In addition, it provides non-binding assistance with the question as to how much confidence one should have in the statements and experiences of other campers.
The reliability is assessed on the basis of various activities and behaviours on the part of the user. Influencing factors are, amongst many others, the number and usefulness of ratings, the number and meaningfulness of pictures uploaded by the campsite visitor and the completeness of their profile.
The higher the value (from 0.0 to 5.0), the more you can rely on the experiences and statements of another campsite visitor. This should give you a rough indication and help you assess the ratings by fellow campers.
We stayed for 10 days and had some lovely October weather. The setting is stunning and the facilities are amazing. We loved everything about it. There are so many activities within walking and cycling distance that we were able to choose something interesting to do each day.
We ate out at the campsite several times and in St Martin and Lofer and couldn’t complain about anything.
Stunning views and superb facilities

We absolutely loved your site, stunning views and very good shower facilities. We loved swimming in the river and had a fantastic stay
A beautiful location and the most impressive campsite we've pitched up at. Pitch size XX large, modern sanitary facilities, great kids play area, stunning river on site ideal for swimming in.
new, big areas for WC and showers, clean
perfect restaurant, friendly staff etc.
new, big areas for WC and showers, clean
only bad acces to the wifi, you need to log in evrytime and it disconnects all the time
Great site with a fantastic location. Staff are incredibly helpful and the whole sit is well maintained.
The sanitary blocks are exceptional especially the XXL bathrooms, they are by far the best we have seen on any campsite. Sanitary block 1 is not as luxurious as the others in the shower facilities provided, it also suffers from constant use from the people camping in the tent field, if you are located on any of the XL caravan pitches I.e 1, 2 or 3 you are subjected to a lot of noise past 22.00 with people from the camping field using the toilet block.
Having access to the shallow river was fantastic and absolutely enhanced our stay, the walks from the site are amazing and another great feature of the site.
Overall we had a great 10 days at Grubhof camping, I will highly recommend it to other fellow caravanners.
We didn’t use the restaurant so cannot comment, the shop would be better served with more of the essential camping items stocked for those emergancies!
Amazing walking from the site, great shallow river for the children to play in. Clean and well presented site, excellent location.
Noise from campers in the tent field using Sanitary block 1 late into the evening.
This has to be the cleanest, best run campsite we have ever stayed at. That it is in one of the most beautiful places in the world is the icing on the cake.
The pitches for caravans and campervans are outstanding and the sanitary blocks for these pitches are more like hotel bathrooms than standard campsite facilities. The cleaning team works its socks off and the result is pristine.
Unfortunately the access to these blocks is more limited if you are in a tent and the blocks for the tent field are more like typical campsite facilities - still very clean and excellent but not quite the same standard. You can access the general areas of the main blocks but access to the XXL bathrooms - which are the highlight - is very limited.
This did not however prevent us having the most wonderful tent camping holiday. The tent pitches are large and flexible, very easy for pegging out and wonderfully soft underfoot. On pitch electricity and central water supplies were very convenient. Wifi is available on pitch but is charged at 2 euro per day per device.
Access to the lovely river for swimming and play is easy and safe.
Traffic on site is limited as cycling to most local attractions is very easy via the superb off highway cycle network.
The site has an excellent restaurant - closed Tuesdays when a rotisserie chicken service is provided - and cafe with great baked goods every morning and a range of snacks all day.
Kids play areas - in and outdoor - were well designed and very popular with out 5, 9 and 12 year olds.
The staff were helpful and friendly and very willing to help us with our very poor German and many speaking good English.
The area is wonderful and the Saalach Card that comes with a summer booking gives free access to two great swimming pools, the cable cars and two beautiful gorges. If you like hiking or biking this is a great place to come.
In summary - very well worth the drive and Im sure we will be back very soon.
Great facilities and location
Lower grade sanitary facilities in tent field
Really nice campsite in a perfect location near good walking and cycling routes. Also waking up to the mountains every morning was really wonderful. Showers were cleaned every day and generally in good order. Where we were pitched was perfect place with shade in the hot afternoon. It was generally quiet except from when a big group turned up and was a bit noisy. Could do with someone going round at night to make sure that people weren’t being noisy.
No one checking if people aren’t being noisy
Perfect location, ultra clean and friendly, great fun playing on the river even though I'm a grown up. Lovely cycling routes. Perfect for a family or couples holiday. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent stay - enjoyed this campsite. Toilets and showers plentiful and spotless.
Superb location, excellent facilities.
Had to change our large pitch to an extra-large as there wasn't room for the caravan.
