NEW FOR 2019: 1 BEDROOM GITE SLEEPS UP TO 3 PEOPLE AND 2 X LUXURY BELL TENTS SLEEP UP TO 4 PEOPLE WITH 1 KING AND 2 SINGLE BEDS Camping & Gites La Foret de Tesse has a 10 pitch … campsite, 2 fully furnished bell tents each with its own kitchen cabin and a 1 bedroom Gite to let. The camping field is completely separate from the gîte that has a separate entrance and a courtyard. Shared pool. The spacious 1 bedroom gîte sleeps 2 adults and 1 child with 1 super king bed and 1 guest bed. The super king bed divides into 2 singles if required. Lounge / diner with wood burner that heaths the whole gîte, fully equipped kitchen. We are located in a peaceful hamlet called Grosbout. Long hot summers and a warm spring and autumn means outside dining is possible from April till the end of October. With no light pollution we have the most amazing clear night skies. Ruffec with all amenities only 10 minutes drive. The N10 motorway that leads down to Spain is 10 minutes drive away. We are surrounded by farmland and small woodland. The roads nearby are really quiet and ideal for walking & cycling, there is hardly any traffic. The area is dotted with picturesque villages with beautiful stone houses and chateaus. Ruffec with all amenities only 10 minutes drive. The N10 motorway that leads down to Spain is 10 minutes drive away. There are lots to see and do in the area without the crowds of tourists. Ideally located for days out to La Rochelle, Angoulême, Cognac (tasting tours) to name a few.

Directions
Directions: For an easy route please use the A10/E5 toll road or the N10 non-toll road and follow the directions below. Leave the N10 motorway at Ruffec at the exits for the ‘D26’ then head north towards Bernac/Montjean/Sauze Vaussais. Continue … on the D26 and after about 1 mile you get to Bernac. Drive through the village and continue down the D26. After about 2 miles you drive over a railway bridge. Keep going straight and you get into Montjean. The road bends to the right, after the bend take the first left signposted for La Foret de Tesse. The road immediately splits into two, keep left on the D303. After about 1 mile there is a crossing with an actual cross. Keep going straight and you will get into La Foret de Tesse, the Mairie (Mare’s office building) and the church will be on your right. Carry on straight out of the village. Keep going straight and you will come to a cross road with an actual cross again, keep going straight here signposted to Grosbout and L’Houmelee. After the Grosbout village sign the road will bend to the right with a horse paddock on your right. After the bend at the junction turn left. The entrance to our campsite is just on the right there. From the A10/E5 toll road: Leave the A10/E5 at Exit 32 for Limoges, Angouleme. Keep following the signs for Angouleme & Limoges and stay on the D948. Continue on the D948 until you pass Sauze Vaussais and you see the SuperU supermarket on your right. Turn right on D113 as if you were going to the supermarket. Turn right again after passing the supermarket car park on your right. You will get to a roundabout; take the second exit (turn left) to D54 At the next junction turn left onto the D54 to leave Sauze Vaussais. Keep driving on the D54 and you will get into Montjean. After passing the centre of the village turn right onto the road signposted for La Foret de Tesse. The road immediately splits into two, keep left on the D303. Keep going straight and you will get into La Foret de Tesse, the Mairie (Mare’s office building) and the church will be on your right. Carry on straight out of the village. Keep going straight and you will come to a cross road with a crucifix. Keep going straight here signposted to Grosbout and L’Houmelee. After the Grosbout village sign the road will bend to the right with a horse paddock on your right. After the bend at the junction turn left. The entrance to our campsite is just on the right there.
