The pleasant North Sea beach with its fascinating mix of ebbs and flows offers diverse attractions: the place where you have been bathing … changes, just a few hours later, into a unique mud flat landscape, which has been appointed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You can enjoy this extraordinary landscape most intensively on extensive bike rides or walks though the ""Lower Saxony mud flats"" national park - we particularly recommend guided walks through the mud flats. The mud flats are also an endless playground full of new adventures for children, and in addition a special mud flat walk is offered for children. At the tranquil coastal towns of the Butjadingen peninsular time seems to pass more slowly. If you let yourself get into the rhythm of the tides you will uncover the uniqueness of this holiday resort.
