Description

Profile
We are a small, family-run, quiet, relaxed, rural site with 30 pitches for caravans, campervans and tents. The site is located behind the old nineteenth century village school and is grassy, well drained, flat, spacious and very quiet. We are … situated at the edge of a small village in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty with forest, river, heathland and coastal trails nearby. There is an abundance of wildlife around the site including owls, woodpeckers, nightingales, rabbits, deer, squirrels and foxes. We are family and pet friendly and welcome dogs as long as they are kept on a secure lead while on the site. Our site is ideal for simple, relaxing family holidays. Facilities The Sorrel Horse community-owned pub is 150 m away and serves lunch and evening meals. The pub can be accessed via a path directly from the site. There is also a children’s playground next to the site which can be accessed directly from the site. We are 2 miles from the River Deben, 3.5 miles from the sea (Shingle Street) and 4 miles from a sandy beach (Bawdsey). It is a very good walking and cycling area and there are trails directly accessed from the site. We sell a local footpath map at reception Local Amenities (within 5 miles) include: Shops Our Small Holding & Produce You can follow the development of our smallholding & the adventures of our animals including the antics of our two working sheep dogs on our new blog www.smallholdingdreams.com.
