Picturesque, beautifully landscaped and peaceful dog-friendly this Visit Scotland … 5-star site is located in the grounds of an old monastery and has glimpses of the Firth of Forth through its tree-lined boundary. Plenty of sun and shade available. Range of hard-standing and grass touring and grass tent pitches, all with electric. Two well-behaved dogs welcome free of charge on all tent and touring pitches. Some serviced pitches. Fire pits and BBQs for hire. Small number of seasonal pitches also available. Newly refurbished 5-star amenity blocks with underfloor heating, free hot water showers, family bathrooms with baths, laundry and indoor campers’ kitchen. Small, licensed shop selling local produce and children’s playground. Dog walk around the site as well as plenty of woods and coast paths nearby including the Levenhall Links Nature Reserve. Quiet site policy after 10.30pm. Free WiFi, bike storage racks and EV charging station. Glamping pods, family glamping bothies and a range of holiday lodges with hot tubs also available on this site. Easy access by bus (40 minutes; bus stop 5-minute walk) or train (10 minutes; train station 15-minute walk or park at the large car park for free) into Edinburgh. Open all year so perfect for visiting the Edinburgh Christmas markets or enjoying Edinburgh Hogmanay. Musselburgh 2 miles with wide range of amenities; Prestonpans 1 mile with pub, Co-Op and takeaways.
