Description

Profile
Campsite Duinhorst is a perfect base for a very pleasant stay in the green Wassenaar area. Guests who visit our campsite are generally families with children up to the age of 12, but certainly sometimes seniors too. Our campsite is … perfect for those looking for some tranquillity and nature lovers. The centre of The Hague is a mere 5 kms from our campsite. The Hague is very easily accessible by car, bicycle or using public transport. The Hague is home to museums, a large range of shops, plus plenty of lovely restaurants and terraces. The surrounding towns, including Delft, Leiden, Haarlem, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, offer a variation of (cultural) delights. Scheveningen, the Netherlands’ most popular seaside resort, is only 4 kms away. Here you can enjoy a day at the beach, or a stroll along the boulevard with its fantastic beach pavilions. The firework festival is an annual event in Scheveningen. We can also recommend the Wassenaarse Slag if you prefer a somewhat quieter beach. You will also be able to find Madurodam and the Duinrell amusement park in the direct vicinity of our campsite. Pets are unfortunately not permitted on our campsite. We look forward to receiving you as guests on our campsite. Check-in from 12.00 hours till 23.00 hours

Directions
Because of the recent changes in streets, your navigation system may not be able to route you to our address, Buurtweg 135. So it would be best to follow the directions given below. The route to Camping Duinhorst has changed … since 1 April 2009; the municipality has imposed one-way traffic on the Buurtweg from the camping site towards Den Haag Duindigt. This means that the camping can only be accessed by car from the Duindigt / Duinhorst exit on the N14/N440. By car: From Amsterdam (A4): At the Burgerveen junction (6 km after Schiphol), take the A44 to Den Haag, follow this road into Den Haag past Wassenaar (A44 will merge into N44 and then into the Rijkstraatweg). Drive under the flyover (Van der Valk is on your left) and turn right at the second traffic light (van Alkemadelaan) towards Scheveningen. On the van Alkemadelaan (you will first pass Bronovo Ziekenhuis on your left), turn right at the third traffic light (oude Waalsdorperweg) towards Wassenaar. After about 50 m, turn left and then right to keep following the oude Waalsdorperweg and so that you do not come out on the Waalsdorperweg . At the roundabout, take the first exit towards Wassenaar/Leidschendam (Landscheidingsweg N14 /N440), and then the next first exit for Duindigt, following the small sign for Duinhorst. The end of the exit will take you to the new intersection for the camping. From Utrecht (A12): Follow the A12 into Den Haag (Utrechtse Baan), turn right at the first traffic light onto the Benoordenhoutseweg, staying in left hand lane and turn left at first intersection and left again at the next intersection (van Alkemadelaan) towards Scheveningen. On the van Alkemadelaan (after passing Bronovo Ziekenhuis on your left), turn right at the third traffic light (oude Waalsdorperweg) towards Wassenaar. After about 50 m, turn left and then right to keep following the oude Waalsdorperweg and so that you do not come out on the Waalsdorperweg .
