AR PURO Coimbra, Camping & Bungalows, is located in the city of Coimbra, about 200 km from Lisbon (at south) and 100 km from Porto (at north). To the inside of the country, we have Serra da Estrela, at 160 … km, and to the coast we have beachs, at 50 km (Figueira da Foz, Mira, Tocha, Quiaios). Nearby, we have cultural and recreational attractions, such as Conimbriga’s ruins, Rota da Bairrada, Mondego River Trails and Aguieira Dam. This campsite, located in the center of several touristic routes, is ideal for those who are looking for a stay where you can diverse your activities, from cultural to recreational and adventure, and to know the routes in the center of Portugal. The first university of Portugal was founded in Coimbra, in the year of 1920, considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It has a magnificent view of several monuments, like the Old Cathedral, the New Cathedral, Santa Cruz Church (National Pantheon), Santa Clara-a-Nova Monastery, Santa Clara-a-Velha Monastery and Portugal dos Pequenitos. Don’t forget to also visit the Quinta das Lágrimas Gardens, where it took place the love story between D. Pedro (king of Portugal) and Inês de Castro, and the Botanic Garden.
