Directions
How to Get There Airport Transfer The Flybus and Airport Express from Keflavik International Airport drop passengers off at the Campsite on request. The Flybus and Airport Express also pick up passengers frequently during the day and drive them to … the International airport in time for their departure. Tickets can be bought at the campsite reception. From Keflavík Airport by Car The campsite sign is visible at several places on the ride from the airport. Drive road 41 to Reykjavík from the airport. When you enter the city, the name of the road changes to Hafnarfjarðarvegur and then to Kringlumýrarbraut. Keep driving on Kringlumýrarbraut almost to the end when you start seeing the sea at the end of the road. Then you turn right on Sundlaugavegur and drive 0,9 kilometres until you see the Campsite parking lot on your right hand side. See direction map here. City Bus Bus no. 14 stops on the other side of the road from the campsite. Bus no. 14 also stops close to the city center, the domestic airport and close to the main bus terminal, BSÍ. See further information about the Reykjavík city bus system here. In June, July and August there is a free direct bus service from the campsite to BSÍ bus terminal and to Harpa Concert Hall, for scheduled buses outside Reykjavík. These busses leave the campsite at 07:10. For further information, please contact the campsite reception. From Out of Town When coming to Reykjavík by car, you will most likely end up on the road Vesturlandsvegur where you take a right turn to Sæbraut. After 3 kilometres on Sæbraut you turn left on Dalbraut (there is a Olís gas station on the right hand side) which you drive to the end until you enter Sundlaugavegur and see the campsite. Walking from the Campsite Located only 3 kilometres from the city centre, it is easy to walk or ride on bicycles to town from the campsite. If you walk west of Sundlaugavegur until you come to the road crossing of Kringlumýrarbraut, you can turn right and walk by the seaside to the city centre (you should be able to see the Harpa concert hall at the end of the path).
